The European Commission has released the autumn report on the economy. As for Albania, the economy is stable and is expected to grow by 3.8% this year.
Thus, Albania's economy will slow down in the period 2025-2026 to approximately 3.6%, which will have a negative impact when employment slows down and public consumption is burdened.
For the year 2025, there are other risks, from the exchange rate, the lack of labor force, emigration and the possible reappearance of inflationary pressures.
Public debt will continue to decline for the period 2025-2026.
Investment grew faster than in 2023 and is accelerating in the second half of the year due to increased public capital spending. The tourism boom boosted exports of services, while exports of goods continued to shrink due to lower demand from the eurozone, and the strengthening of the lek exchange rate.
