Analyst Arion Sulo, commenting on the electoral campaign for the May 11, 2025 elections, said that the state infrastructure is being used, so that the government gets more votes.
Invited to the "Opinion" column in "News 24", Sulo added that Sali Berisha, on the other hand, has intense political activity and that he differs from others in the Democratic Party, as his voice is heard more.
" Regarding the campaign, the infrastructure is being used for the government to get more votes. In some cases, the electoral law was violated. The climax will reach the diaspora, where the SP aims to get dozens of mandates. We will see how the criminal elements will appear in these elections. We wish that we have the withdrawal of criminal groups, due to the strikes of SPAK. In the PD, I see Berisha with intense political activity, while the rest are disconnected from the democratic leader , "said Sulo.
Regarding the decisions of the Constitutional Court, for Sulo they are dictated by the government.
" The Constitutional Court washes its hands, finds excuses, justice must deliver justice in time. The GJK could not even decide on the case of Olta Xhaçka's mandate. Justice has been put at the service of the government. The Constitutional Court works for the majority ", he said.
Arion Sulo stated that Albania, unfortunately, does not have normal political ground. For him, the technical government must be accepted, so that the country has a more suitable political ground.
" The question of what the PD should do has a place, when we have normal political ground. In Albania, there is no normal political ground and SP won by not having a program, but it wins by giving legalizations, earthquake money, this happens in Albania. It would be very difficult for the opposition to do whatever they want, to bring someone even from America, because the reality is harsh. I believe the elections would be free, if the internationals stipulate that criminal groups stay away from the elections. If we have a technical government, accompanied by the removal of non-women, we can have an opening of the competition. The moment this policy comes, then we can see more clearly. Trump is an ordinary president in the USA, I don't believe that he will enter to do things in different countries of the immediate world ", declared Sulo.
