Gentjan Berberi was dismissed a few days ago from his position as director of the Shkodra Police for poor performance, after identifying and destroying several cannabis plots in the district.
The former director of the Shkodra Police, Gentjan Berberi, has been suspended from duty and a disciplinary investigation has been launched against him, following an incident that occurred at the General Directorate of the State Police.
According to sources, Berberi appeared this Thursday at the office of the Director of Human Resources, where he is suspected of using offensive language and threatening the official due to his appointment to a lower position, after leaving the leadership of the Shkodra Police.
Following the incident, the Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, ordered the immediate suspension of Berber from duty, while the Directorate of Professional Standards has initiated disciplinary investigation procedures for the alleged behavior.
Meanwhile, the Human Resources Director has filed a criminal complaint with the Police Supervision Agency (AMP), accusing the former director of insults and threats while performing his duties. The case is being verified by AMP.
Gentjan Berberi was dismissed just a few days ago from the position of director of the Shkodra Police due to poor performance, after the identification and destruction of several cannabis plots in the territory of the district. After the dismissal, he was transferred to the General Directorate of the State Police, in the Analysis sector.
