Journalist Elton Qyno: At SPAK, they cut me off, locked the door and didn't

Journalist Elton Qyno, held "hostage" for more than 10 hours in SPAK, has shown the moments of confrontation with prosecutors and OPGJ who pressured him to reveal his sources.

Qyno has shown that he was betrayed by SPAK officials after they called him to familiarize himself with a document and then locked the door with a key, keeping him there by force.

The journalist cannot be kept locked with the door locked from the inside and not allowed to go out for hours, but only allowed to go to the toilet.

All this was done just to deliver the phones. Hand over the phones, what are you doing? In other words, some situations that people have not tried either in SPAK or anywhere else.

I have been asked 12 times in the district prosecutor's offices, but also in SPAK for the release of investigative secrets, starting from the General Prosecutor's Office with the chief investigator Zamir Shtylla.

But like this, it has never happened that I go in total good faith after I was called to familiarize myself with a publication ban order and on the other hand I enter and am not allowed to leave alone to hand over the phones.

I have insisted on not handing over the phones, first it was my journalistic ethics that categorically forbids the publication of the source of the data. And there they betrayed me there, because they called me for something else and held me hostage.

I have signed a non-publication document, but it has nothing to do with the materials I have released in the last two days.

If SPAK adhered to the order of 2022, why yesterday SPAK gave me an order of 2023?", said journalist Elton Qyno on SYRI TV.
