Lawyer Brizida Gjikondi, invited to the show "Ora e Fundit", stated that SPAK is reevaluating all previous evidence related to the Gërdec tragedy, where 26 people lost their lives.
According to her, the new investigations aim to shed light on the real responsibilities of the event, despite the disappearance of some of the evidence, and to establish the cause-and-effect relationship between the actors involved.
Gjikondi emphasized that, according to her conviction, the threads of the case lead to the Berisha family and that the "Gërdeci" and "Partizani" cases represent examples of the direct or indirect influence of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in enriching his family members, calling on SPAK to show courage and publicly identify those responsible.
"SPAK is reevaluating all previous evidence. Let's not forget that 26 innocent people have died. All the tentacles lead to the Berisha family, all the structures have been in the service of Shkëlzen Berisha. Finally, the courage is being taken to give a name and surname to that tragedy. We know that a lot of evidence has disappeared, the cameras and the monitoring system. I think the prosecutor will be able to make the cause-effect connection.
The death of Mr. Trebicka, who was a witness to "Gërdeci", was not accidental. Berisha has indirect connections and is aware of what happened to his children. "Partizani" and "Gërdeci" are two flagrant cases in which Berisha directly or indirectly influenced the enrichment of his family members, making the state available for personal gain. SPAK must have the courage and name the characters responsible for this event", said Gjikondi.
