Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi, speaking about the state of the Albanian army, said that unfortunately, even though investments have been made, 3 million euros for satellites and 33 million euros for warships in real working condition, we do not have any of them.
In an interview for the "Review" show on "Euronews Albania", he stated that the Albanian army does not have a single helicopter that will be able to carry 10 military forces to take them to the border in case of conflict.
" With three million euros, we could have repaired the helicopters. We don't have any operational military helicopters to take 10 troops to the border in case of conflict. We also have four new ships which are 33 million euros purchased, of which 13 million euros were paid by the Dutch government, one and a half ships have been forgiven.
None of these four ships are in working condition. They have 10 years without repair. To make matters worse, they took it as it is and took it illegally to the Aegean Sea. It can even endanger the lives of the crew ," he said.
