The Supreme Court decides to overturn the request of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office for the extradition of Dritan Goxhaj. In the Supreme Court, a hearing was held on the issue of extradition on behalf of the Special Court of Kosovo, of Dritan Goxhaj.
The Appeals Prosecution appealed to the Supreme Court against the decision of the Court of Appeals that refused the extradition of Dritan Goxhajt on account of the Special Court in The Hague, again requesting his extradition to Kosovo.
Last year, in July, on the 31st, Dritan Goxhaj was arrested for extradition purposes. His judicial process lasted over 70 days and the Court of Appeal decided not to extradite Goxhaj, and his arrest was even declared illegal.
Dritan Goxhaj wins the battle in the Supreme Court, the former KLA fighter will not be extradited to The Hague.
As of today, the Supreme Court has decided to dismiss the appeal request and Dritan Goxhaj will not face the charges of the Special Court of Kosovo, in The Hague.
