The Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime reacted after today's statement by the head Altin Dumani.
In a report before the High Council of Prosecution, the head of SPAK Altin Dumani stated that the court decides as SPAK wants.
In the announcement of SPAK, it is said that Duman's words were taken out of context regarding the number of guilty verdicts given by GJKKO.
SPAK emphasizes that every action is controlled by the Special Court according to legal provisions. It also adds that the Special Prosecutor's Office recognizes and respects with the same seriousness whether the verdicts of guilt or innocence given by the special courts or the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court.
"We note with concern that the media has taken out of context a part of the speech of the Head of the Special Prosecution during the annual report today at the KLP regarding the number of guilty verdicts given by the GJKKO, completely deviating the answer that the Head of The Special Prosecutor gave this aspect to the question of the KLP member.
In respect of the public and the rule of law, we clarify that the Special Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that it is an accusation body, which for each of its procedural and substantive actions, is controlled by special courts according to legal provisions.
Special Courts make decisions only based on the law and the facts of the cases.
The Special Prosecutor's Office respects their decisions to the maximum extent and appeals them through the instruments provided by the law and when the special prosecutors consider that they have legal reasons to exercise this competence of theirs.
