Archbishop Anastasios passed away on Saturday, January 25, in Athens.
His body is expected to arrive in Tirana on Tuesday at 4:00 PM at the 'Resurrection of Christ' Cathedral. Meanwhile, the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30 at 11:00 AM.
The Patriarch and high-level delegations from the Vatican and the world Church have confirmed their participation. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is also expected to attend.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, homages will continue to be held at the Tirana Cathedral next to the body of the deceased. Currently, the body of Archbishop Anastasios is in the Cathedral of the Metropolitanate of Athens, where the service of the Resurrection was also held today, next to the relic.
