Former prosecutor Ervin Karanxha commented on the mafia attack at the Rinas roundabout, where in broad daylight an automatic weapon was fired at the vehicle in which Gilmando Dani, 47, was traveling, who remained a victim, and Muçi Shaljani (Sheqeri), 40, was seriously injured.
On the show 'Repolitix', Karanxha said that the perpetrators of the assassination used a Toyota Yaris with Greek license plates to avoid creating suspicion that they were going to carry out an assassination.
He said that the police response should have been faster and they should have pursued the perpetrators.
"The perpetrators fled in a Toyota Yaris and must have been pursued by the police, so they should have reacted faster. They had that vehicle with Greek license plates, perhaps so that they wouldn't be noticed because it could have looked like the vehicle of the immigrant who came from Greece."
"The cameras should be seen because perhaps due to some mistake of the author, he can be identified. But, the police's reaction time should be faster. Imagine escaping from the police in that car. There is a speed limit, there are police officers lying on the road and there they have found a place for them to achieve their goal. The criminal offense is premeditated and it is a very serious event," he said.
