Criminal expert Ervin Karamuço has commented on the serious incident that occurred near Rinas Airport, where Gilmando Dani lost his life and Muçi Shaljani was injured in a gun attack.
According to Karamuço, the assassination bears the marks of a well-organized execution by powerful criminal groups, which he describes as more than two in number and part of clashes in the criminal world.
"There are more than two rival groups. For those who may have carried out this assassination, the police are conducting analyses and have criminal information. They are very powerful as groups, so I can call it the assassination of the year. Events have always brought events. It is a big saga that is happening. Someone could have informed them that Gilmando Dani and Muçi Shaljani had fled in a car at the right moment. It could have been an observer at the airport," he said.
The expert, among other things, raises questions regarding the determination of the location to carry out this assassination, precisely at a roundabout, and the perpetrators did not choose to follow the vehicle in which Gilmando Dani and Muçi Shaljani were inside.
" The speed of the vehicle decreases at the roundabout, because if the perpetrators followed it, they would not be able to reach the targeted vehicle. At the roundabout, there is no more traffic and they leave very quickly in one direction. The perpetrators have traveled the road to Fushë-Krujë, so a very long route was followed and the area where the car would be burned, if it is the perpetrators' car ," Karamuço told Euronews Albania.
He emphasizes that the choice of location, the method of action, and the intensity of the fire indicate a carefully planned operation by professionals, who followed the target for a long distance to the place where the perpetrators' car was burned.
"The trajectory leads us to the conclusion that one of the perpetrators got out of the car and shot the entire front of the vehicle with an automatic rifle, from the passenger to the driver, while the other perpetrator was in the car, made half a turn, getting out with a pistol and carrying out the final execution. The perpetrators thought that the driver and passenger might have had weapons in the car because when leaving the airport, they cannot carry weapons, and there was a huge barrage of bullets, a huge firepower that neutralized the driver and passenger from the inability to react. It is a professional assassination. Carrying out the assassination in that area is a great risk. Initially, the police thought that a van with money was being robbed from a second-rate bank nearby, but in fact they saw the car and the course of events," emphasizes Ervin Karamuço.
