Environmental expert Lavdosh Ferruni has shown details of how the incinerator of Tirana did not exist from the beginning.
He said that the conception of an incinerator was not in the plan, but what they wanted to do through this non-existent incinerator is to increase the cost of the landfill.
"If it had been stopped in the incinerator in Elbasan, these millions would not have escaped, a solution would have been made. It has been discussed endlessly about the issue of procedures, infringements, VAT, etc. and I have always had the concern that this first simple economist who has just finished school the first thing when a study comes to him that he has to give an opinion and to sign must see that in front there is an incinerator, it has a capacity of 200 tons per day.
Since there is no experience in Albania to see the price of an incinerator with a capacity of 200 tons per day to generate electricity. If you refer to the international award, as I did, and I immediately created the impression that we are dealing with an affair here, since 2017. If you refer to the international price, it turns out that this price of the incinerator is 4-5 times more expensive than the one that was put in the feasibility study. The conclusion is that at the beginning of feasibility we are dealing with an affair, we do not have an incinerator. It's not that we had the incinerator in the plan, but someone cheated and now we don't have it.
We didn't have it from the beginning when we made the cards, this is a very big problem. Those who conceived it did not plan it at all. Something has been rigged there to increase the cost of the landfill. It is a situation of an extremely large responsibility in the Albanian state", said Ferruni for "Syri TV".
