SPAK requested a change of measures for Berisha, Kulluri: Nothing new, a move that was expected from the start

DP National Council member Edvin Kulluri said that SPAK's request to change the security measures against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was an expected measure.

In an interview for 'Euronews Albania', he said that the request that SPAK has sent to the Assembly could happen after the first time when Mr. Berisha refused to appear in court, adding that the only news in this whole story is that the man with influence for 30 years in Albania, can be detained in the house or even put in prison.

“This measure could have been taken after Mr. Berisha did not appear for the first time. This is also for the reason that Mr. Berisha was here, he was informed and he refused with complete conscience the mandatory appearance measure. If we go by the law, there is no news here, it was what is expected to happen. The news is that definitely the most influential character in 30 years, in this transition, will be detained in the apartment and maybe even in prison," Kulluri said.
