
Today, the first hearing began at the Special Anti-Corruption Court in charge of former socialist MP, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment Alqi Blako, accused of committing the criminal offense of "passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" in connection with the investigations into the Tirana incinerator.
Bllako requested to be tried under summary trial procedure.
On December 20, the GJKKO passed the file against Blako for trial, for corruption committed in two cases where, according to SPAK, he received around 120 thousand euros as payment for the wine machinery of his father, Edmond Blako, who is present at this Tuesday's session.
The investigations into Blako were concluded on November 17th of last year by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office.
