Justice institutions reject the 'Anticorruption' commission, the

Almost all justice institutions have refused to participate in the special 'Anticorruption' commission directed by the socialist MP Fatmir Xhafa.

After SPAK, the Supreme Court and the ILD, the General Prosecutor's Office has also confirmed in a reaction to the media that they will not participate with experts in the commission's work.

The General Prosecutor's Office clarifies that it will cooperate with the commission to give opinions on any issue of a technical nature related to the constitutional and legal framework as far as justice is concerned, but they cannot become part of the commission.  

However, it adds that they have notified the commission about the appointment of the institution's contact points according to the relevant fields of expertise.

The latter will cooperate with the commission in the form of giving opinions on the latter's work products in all cases that will be requested by it.

"The General Prosecutor's Office has expressed its willingness to cooperate with the Special Parliamentary Commission "For Deepening the Reforms for Good Governance, Rule of Law and Anticorruption for Albania 2030 in the European Union" for any issue of a technical nature related to the constitutional and legal framework within which the prosecution and the justice system work.

The Prosecutor's Office will not participate with experts as part of the committee's working subgroup, but has notified the committee of the appointment of contact points of the institution according to the relevant areas of expertise, who will cooperate with the committee in the form of giving opinions on the products of the latter's work in all cases that will be requested of him", the response states.
