The architect Agron Doraci, at the same time a friend of the well-known writer, Ismail Kadare, has spoken about their report. He has shown that they were neighbors and that at that time they started the company together.
Dorac has stopped at the human side of the writer, saying that he was associated with everyone. He emphasized that Kadare loved the city of Gjirokastra, every detail, so much so that he included it in his works.
"I want to say something about the human side of this great man. Since I live in Gjirokastër, I have been around, as none of the Kadare family lives in Gjirokastër today.
I want to say that the Kadare family is one of the most prominent families of Gjirokastra, its origin is very tribal. I knew the Kadare family well, I had a special friend, Ismail's father, and then Ismail. The one loved by everyone in the neighborhood since he was a child. Later, when he managed to become a great writer and left Gjirokastra, he came with a great longing. I walked with him on the road, while he was silent and you seemed to come from another world. It talked to every stone and every element of the road we passed. He loved his city very much and he showed Gjirokastra in his works.
We both live in the same neighborhood and used to walk the same street when we went to high school.
By stupidity he meant being detached from the mentality of ordinary, banal and social people. He was extremely affectionate with people he had known since childhood. He would stop them and meet them", said Doraci excitedly.
