The American Embassy in Tirana has reacted after the death of the writer Ismail Kadare.
" We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ismail Kadare ", writes the US Embassy, adding that his literature inspires readers around the world.
While recalling that the US Embassy has honored Kadare with the Neustadt International Prize for Literature in 2020.
"His work has created bridges between Albania and the world, and his legacy will live on as a testament to his genius in letters," the post says.
