Yesterday, one of Berat's popular restaurants publicly denounced a group of Italian tourists who claimed they left without paying.
The restaurant shared several videos on social networks, where four Italian tourists can be seen going down the stairs and after reaching the front door, they run.
Viku Kadëna, the owner of the restaurant, spoke to Report TV and stated that he has been working with foreigners for several years, but such a phenomenon has never happened. He runs the bar together with his wife, who covers the cash register and services.
"This group was having fun, they thanked us for the food and were very satisfied. While we were serving many other tourists, we thought they would pay at the cash register, which is located far outside the bar. At the moment there was no one at the cash register and they ran away through the alleys of Mangalem. Not that they caused me great loss, but let them become an example and expose these people who put themselves down. As you can see, the bar and hostel is always full and we don't have a single minute of rest. That's why we Berata people have the expression "then the thief takes the hand" or use those lek for a good thing" , said the owner of the bar.
