The week starts with showers and snowfall

The week has started with rain and a drop in temperatures, while there will be snowfall in mountainous areas.

Meteorologist Tanja Porja announced on "Dita Jonë" that the south of the country will be affected by torrential rains, while the rainfall will continue until Wednesday, when the weather is expected to improve.

"Cloudiness throughout the territory, at noon and onwards temperatures will decrease, while precipitation will accompany us until late in the evening. Then light precipitation until Wednesday and then sunshine. Temperatures range from 6 to 22 degrees Celsius. We will have showers mainly in the south and less in the center, while in the north less precipitation until the evening when we expect a significant improvement in the weather."

According to the meteorologist, snowfall will be in mountainous areas at altitudes above 1400 meters above sea level and will then decrease to 900 meters.

"There is snowfall in mountainous areas at 1400 meters above sea level. In the second part of the day, snowfall drops to heights of 900 meters above sea level."

Porja emphasized that "We will have strong northern and northeastern winds throughout the day in the territory and in the maritime areas. During the night and this morning, showers were present in the south and center and less in the northern areas."

Temperatures will rise on Wednesday, but meteorology warns of weather surprises over the weekend.
