The Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) has decided to begin the recount of 42 ballot boxes in the Dibra District, as part of the review of complaints filed by the opposition following the May 11 elections.
The recount will focus on the preferential votes of the DP-ASHM coalition. The decision comes after allegations of irregularities in the initial count and aims to ensure transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
The two opposition members of the KAS decided to recount 44 voting centers, in order to review the votes for the candidates of the Democratic Party, "Alliance for a Greater Albania".
The KAS is expected to complete the recount process in the coming days and issue a final decision.
