The Special Court of Appeal has postponed to January 24 the review of Alfred Beler's appeal against the decision that refused him a special permit to be sworn in as mayor.
The Appeal session failed because the legal representative of the General Directorate of Prisons was without a power of attorney.
Currently, Beleri is being tried in the Special Court for the charge of "corruption in the elections" and the process is in the stage of questioning the witnesses of the prosecution. According to SPAK, he promised sums of money in exchange for secure votes in the May 14 election process.
We recall that, a few days ago, Prime Minister Rama also reacted to this issue, who, through a reaction on social networks, said that he had found a solution to the situation created with the "Beleri" case, referring to the last decision of the Special Court.
According to Rama, the way out of this impasse is through the termination of the losing candidate's tenure.
" This can be achieved through the resignation of the chairman who is still in office, Jorgo Goro ", said Rama.
