KPA has postponed until May 21 at 15:00 the announcement of the decision on the appeal of the Public Commissioner against Alfred Balla.
Alfred Balla, the head of the High Prosecution Council, appeared today before the KPA, where he will go to the second level of vetting. The Public Commissioner asked the KPA to change the decision of the KPK for Alfred Balla.
According to the commissioner, the process for Balla had to be stopped, since he does not enjoy the status of a Magistrate. He also said that Mr. Balla should be deprived of the right to exercise functions in the justice system for the next 15 years. The law states that the members of the KLP or KLJ, when their mandate ends, have the right to be appointed and have functions in the justice system.
