Requests release from prison, hearing begins for Erion Veliaj at the Appeals

The hearing on the case involving Erion Veliaj has begun at the Special Appeal Court.

Veliaj is not personally present in court, but is represented by his lawyer, Ermir Beta. Meanwhile, Elman Abule is in the courtroom, who is present and accompanied by lawyer Romina Zano.

The hearing is taking place in the presence of the parties and their respective lawyers, while the court is expected to make a decision on the matter. Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj is facing charges of corruption and money laundering. He is currently under the security measure of "prison arrest" by the court, while he is requesting a more lenient measure.
