The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, held a meeting at the premises of the Local Police Directorate in Korça, attended by local leaders, heads of police stations and heads of sectors.
The meeting, which lasted about an hour, focused on analyzing the main issues and determining work priorities for police structures in this region.
According to sources from the meeting, one of the main directions given by Hita is related to intensifying crackdowns on cases of drug cultivation and distribution, as well as identifying and prosecuting persons involved in criminal groups.
Also, the head of the State Police has called for greater commitment to preventing illegal possession of weapons, emphasizing the need for more frequent and detailed field checks.
Special attention, according to the same sources, has also been paid to security in educational institutions, where increased controls have been requested to guarantee order and the protection of citizens.
