The General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DGRTS), in collaboration with the Road Police and the Road Transport Task Force, launched a new intelligent control campaign on the country's roads this Tuesday. The authorities have put into operation vehicles equipped with cameras and automated systems for the real-time identification of circulating vehicles.
The action has begun on the Tirana-Milot segment, one of the axes with high traffic flow, and according to the institutions, it will gradually be extended to some of the main national roads.
Through intelligent machine technology, responsible structures carry out verification of vehicle documentation, control of technical inspection status, insurance and other legal obligations. The system enables the identification of violations without physically stopping each vehicle, aiming to increase efficiency and transparency in the field.
According to the DPSHTRR, the campaign aims to increase road safety, identify vehicles with legal deficiencies or irregular documentation, and raise awareness among drivers about respecting traffic rules, including speed limits.
