After the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, the question that naturally arises is who would want him dead. According to security expert Ilir Kulla, in a country like America, the list of potential enemies is long, complex, and deeply rooted in the history and nature of American society.
Invited to the show “Të Pashoq” on the “Pamphlet” YouTube channel, Kulla said that the history of the United States is filled with assassinations and assassination attempts on presidents, starting with Abraham Lincoln. He added that these climactic events have often occurred during periods of high political and social tensions, serving as a catalyst that has “heated up” public debate and political warfare. For Kulla, the Trump case is no exception.

-The question I ask is, who wants Donald Trump dead?
Ilir Kulla : There are many in America who might want him dead, because that's what America is. Look, if you look at the history of assassinations of US presidents, with murders, with injuries, from Lincoln to today, so all of them, if you can see them, I've seen them and verified them, there has always been an event, one that has, that has heated up life, public debate, political war and so on and so forth, in the US, at different times. That is, from Lincoln who was in the civil war until the time of Trump. So, in a country like America, it's a big country, it's 350 million people, it's a multi-religious, multi-ethnic country, with many economic interests and so on. He himself is a man who eats up a lot of debate and so on.
There could be many people, even more so, but if you look at it, always when there was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, there was either a world event, or the elections were close. At this moment, at this moment, both are close. So, Trump's life was attempted when he was in opposition, it was attempted when he was in power, it was attempted when there was no one, because that's the nature of things. Of course, I think that after this story, once again the security services will have to pay more attention to what the campaign brings, not only with Trump, but also with the vice president and the candidates for senator and congressman, because it means that that pot heats up, the social pot, so social tensions increase. In this regard, I think that the number of those who want it cooked is likely to increase in the coming weeks and months. Even more so with the risk of a world war on the border. There is a war in the Persian Gulf that has affected the price of rice, the price of bread, the price of pasta, the price of cheese, the price of oil, the price of gas, even the price of water if you like, and also people's insomnia. Keep in mind that just three weeks ago, President Trump made a shocking statement to the whole world saying, I can use nuclear weapons and bring the civilization of Persia back to where it was in the first place. So, it's the whole thing that doesn't, that doesn't work.
Can we stop those who think there is a conspiracy? We can't stop them, because keep in mind that the USA, one of the reasons why the USA is the strongest country in the world, is that it is also the largest democracy in the world. So everyone is allowed to say something. If something like that happened in China, would it be said? Of course not, because the first day a person spoke, they would throw him in jail. Or who knows, in another country. This is the USA, we cannot imagine a USA without democracy because the size, the greatness, the strength of the USA has always been democracy and continues to be democracy. Are there crazy people in democracy? Yes. In Italy we have seen that the former prime minister was robbed, was murdered. There was an assassination attempt on the Pope, and Italy is one of the democracies of Europe. We have seen all the countries in turn. In Israel, for example, the Israelis have murdered their prime minister, Rabin. The Israelis themselves killed him, not the Arabs. So, we cannot but expect such events, especially since the situation is what it is.
