An Albanian woman is among the international activists of the "Sumud" flotilla, who were detained by Israel while trying to open a humanitarian corridor to Gaza.
We are talking about Albulena Fazliu, an activist from Kosovo, who was part of the mission with representatives from around 40 countries around the world.
The news was announced by the Collective for Feminist Thought and Action, which in a public reaction has requested immediate intervention from Kosovo institutions for the release of Fazliu and all other activists.
" The state of Kosovo must immediately demand that Israel release Albulena and other activists ," the Collective's response states.
The "Sumud" flotilla is an international initiative of a peaceful and humanitarian nature, which aims to break the Israeli blockade and guarantee the delivery of aid to the Palestinian civilian population. The arrest of the activists has sparked reactions in many countries, while it is expected that the Kosovo authorities will take an official position on the situation.
