The former head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, and several other prosecutors of this structure will move under strict security measures.
The new head of the Special Prosecution Office, Klodian Braho, has made a request to the KLP to increase the number of bodyguards for Dumani and several other prosecutors, including prosecutor Dritan Prençi.
It is learned that the Defense Commission of the High Prosecutorial Council has approved the request, which means there will be more security for them.
It is not known whether there was a specific case of threat, but the fact is that Dumani has often been the victim of attacks and accusations. But now he no longer has the weight he once had. Meanwhile, Prençi has several sensational files in his hands, the most important of which is the one of road abuse.
A few days ago, the government also made a decision, extending the protection period for the former head of SPAK from 2 to 3 years after the end of his mandate.
The US itself is also taking care of the security of SPAK prosecutors. The US Embassy announced a few weeks ago that 8 members of the Guard, who mainly serve as security for Altin Dumani and SPAK prosecutors, have been called to Budapest for special training by the US Secret Service. The embassy also announced that it will provide equipment to increase the security of SPAK prosecutors.

Recently, eight members of the Republican Guard, who provide protection services to Albanian government officials, including SPAK prosecutors, completed high-level tactical training by the U.S. Secret Service at the United States International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest. The United States Embassy in Albania also provides tactical equipment and is proud to conduct regular training with the courageous individuals who keep Albania’s justice officials safe ,” the embassy emphasized.
Braho himself, in his request, has stated that there is increasing pressure on prosecutors. But the reality is that, in fact, Dumani is facing scandals, after it was revealed that he was in the company of a convicted person during a family party. /Pamphlet
