The financial relationship between Shatku and Monika Kryemadhi included not only payments at luxury boutiques in San Marino, but also the use of a prestigious "American Express Centurion" card, with a spending limit of up to $100,000 per month.
Monika Kryemadhi has spent around $235,000 within three years with an "American Express Centurion" card, opened in her name by Albanian-American businessman Adrian Shatku, whom she has described as a "cousin", while according to the SPAK file provided by "MaShqip", during the same period Shatku sought and received support from the Meta-Kryemadhi couple for the projects of his company UNIFI in Albania.
From the investigative materials it appears that the financial relationship between Shatku and Kryemadhi was not limited only to payments in luxury boutiques in San Marino, where Monika Kryemadhi made purchases at "Ferreti Boutique" and "Maccapani", but also extended to another prestigious card, the "American Express Centurion", known as the "Black Card", with a monthly spending limit of up to 100 thousand dollars.

According to the file, in one of their communications, Adrian Shatku asks Monika Kryemadhi for a copy of her passport, as she needed it to get a “Black AMEX” card. Monika sends him a photo of her passport, but expresses concern that this could cause her any problems. Shatku calms her down by explaining that the card was like a “Black Visa”, but more powerful and rarer. He then writes to her that he had spoken and that the card was “being made”, and that in three days it would be sent to her in her name.
After this communication, Monika thanks him and writes that the next day, together with Piro, they would meet Dietlof and that "by Friday he would have closed everything." According to SPAK, this communication is related to Shatku's efforts for the UNIFI company's projects and relations with telecommunications institutions and operators in Albania.
Pursuant to Letter of Intent No. L 201 of 2024, the law enforcement authorities of the United States of America have forwarded to SPAK the data provided by the company “American Express” for the cards in the name of Adrian Shatku. From this data it results that Shatku was using the cards “Amex Business Centurion” with the ending numbers 3-31009 and 1-69001, as well as the “Amex Corporate Platinum” with the ending numbers 9-97005.

On December 7, 2014, according to documents received from the US, a payment of $2,500 was made as a membership fee for Monika Kryemadhi at “American Express”. The statement of the “Amex Centurion” card with the final numbers 3-31009, in the name of Adrian Shatku, also shows an additional “Amex Centurion” card with the final numbers 3-31017, whose holder was Monika Kryemadhi.
The card, according to the file, had a monthly limit of $100,000. It was first used on December 6, 2014, at Selfridges in London, and the last documented use was on November 19, 2017, for payments at the Berkeley Hotel in London.
In total, the expenses incurred by Monika Kryemadhi with the "American Express Centurion" card with the ending numbers 3-31017, for the period December 2014 - November 2017, amount to $234,677.83.
According to the description of the services on the card statements, the payments were made mainly for purchases at clothing stores in London, Vienna, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, for hotel stays in London, New York and Las Vegas, as well as for airline tickets.
From verifications in the TIMS system, investigators have determined that at the times when this card was used, Monika Kryemadhi was outside the territory of the Republic of Albania.
The SPAK file links these expenses to the ongoing relationship between the Meta-Kryemadhi family and Adrian Shatku, who at the same time sought support for his company UNIFI Communication INC, for the laying of optical fibers and entry into the Albanian telecommunications market.

In this context, according to SPAK, personal benefits, bank cards, payments in boutiques, hotels and trips were suspected to be part of a broader relationship of interest, where Shatku sought institutional favors, while Monika Kryemadhi and Ilir Meta followed the progress of administrative procedures in favor of his company.
Investigators have also linked this episode to previous conversations on September 25, 2014, when Monika Kryemadhi was in San Marino and had problems using her “Black” card at the “Ferreti Boutique” and “Maccapani” stores. In that case, according to the San Marino letter of credit, a payment of 12 thousand euros was confirmed at “Maccapani”, which matched the conversations held on WhatsApp between Kryemadhi and Shatku.
SPAK suspects that this was not an ordinary family relationship, as presented by Monika Kryemadhi, but a relationship with clear financial elements and business interests, where the businessman paid her personal expenses, while at the same time seeking access, documentation and state decision-making for UNIFI projects in Albania./Ma Shqip
