The Ministry of the Interior announces that, starting today, Albanian citizens living abroad will have the opportunity to apply for an Electronic Identity Card or a Biometric Passport, without the need to have both documents at the same time.
The initiative aims to simplify the procedures and facilitate the citizens who live and work outside Albania.
The change also comes as a response to the constant demands of the Albanian diaspora, to facilitate access to the necessary documents for them, as well as to reduce the costs involved in the application process.
"The Ministry of the Interior, through the state company IdentiTek SHA, remains committed to continuing the improvement of services for all Albanian citizens, wherever they are, and to ensure equal and simple access to obtain the necessary documents.
We invite all interested citizens to visit our diplomatic missions for more information and to complete applications for electronic notification!", announces the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
