Lawyer Uljan Barjami has been released from prison. After the scandalous arrest that took place two days ago immediately after the court process, today the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has taken a step back, also giving a slap to the police, who arrested him. Today, a security measure should have been given for the lawyer and prosecutor Ajkuna Anxhaku has ordered his immediate release, describing the arrest as illegal.
Bajrami was arrested after clashing with prosecutor Gjergji Ceka during a session to confirm security measures for 14 people arrested on October 13 at a bar in Elbasan, including Maksim Suçi, who was defended by lawyer Barjami. The prosecutor filed criminal charges against him and his arrest was subsequently ordered.
According to reports, the lawyer was arrested by Judicial Police Officers, but today, since the materials for the lawyer's arrest have arrived at the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office for evaluation, the prosecution has concluded that the arrest is illegal. He did not appear in court for security measures as his release was made immediately by order of the Prosecutor's Office.
