Former Prime Minister Fatos Nano has been admitted to a private hospital in the capital after experiencing health problems.

It is learned that the historic leader of the Socialist Party is in serious condition and has been hospitalized for two weeks.

Fatos Nano, 73, is one of the former prime ministers of Albania, and retired from politics in 2005. Former Prime Minister Fatos Nano is the founder and first leader of the Socialist Party of Albania.

Nano was the chairman of the Socialist Party from June 12, 1991 until 2005, a period in which he also served as Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania.
