President Holta Zaçaj in a conference at the premises of the Constitutional Court made the balance sheet for 2023.
During her speech, the President of the Constitutional Court also spoke about the agreement of immigrants with Italy.
Zaçaj stated that the agreement is at a lower hierarchical level compared to the Constitution and the International Convention of Human Rights, so the jurisdiction of the Albanian state over these territories that will be used for the Italian state remains.
"The decision is being worked on. I will stick to the press release. The court said with conviction that the Albanian state continues to have jurisdiction. We did not deny the responsibility of the Albanian state for the areas that are administered by the Italian state. The jurisdiction that comes from the Constitution continues to remain and is not put into question.
