SPAK has requested house arrest under the supervision of State Police employees for Sali Berisha.
We remind you that the hearing was postponed today after the lawyers asked for more time to familiarize themselves with SPAK's evidence.
The Special Court has postponed to tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. the hearing where it will be decided whether or not to tighten the security measure for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
The lawyers of the former prime minister Berisha are asking for the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka as they claim bias on her part in the process in charge of Berisha.
Berisha's lawyers have submitted evidence that, according to them, proves the fact of the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka in February 1996 by the KLD, where Sali Berisha was the president.
In addition, Berisha's defense lawyers asked for time to familiarize themselves with the evidence that SPAK presented in the hearing regarding the breach of the security measure and Berisha's refusal to receive court notices.
It is learned that SPAK has requested the security measure of "house arrest" under the supervision of State Police employees.
Berisha did not recognize the court's decision to appear on the first and third Monday of every month, arguing that the decision is unconstitutional, since the parliamentary route was not followed.
SPAK's request was submitted to the Special Court after the Assembly authorized the Anti-Corruption Prosecution to remove the immunity of Sali Berisha's deputy.
Berisha is accused of passive corruption for the issue of privatization of the former sports club "Partizani".
