Sali Berisha's lawyers have requested the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka
The hearing for the trial against Sali Berisha was interrupted, where SPAK requested the tightening of the measure from 'compulsion to appear' to 'house arrest'.

SPAK's request for mass replacement was made on Friday, just one day after receiving authorization from the Assembly.
In the voting session of Thursday, December 21, 2023, in less than 9 minutes, with 75 votes in favor, the Assembly approved the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office to authorize the arrest of Sali Berisha. Berisha's lukewarm attempts, through the tensions in the Assembly and the protest in front, proved ineffective for the former Prime Minister.
Sali Berisha is under investigation by SPAK for the charge of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation.
In the file of the "Partizani" sports club, it is said that the former Prime Minister influenced his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, today under house arrest, to privatize the complex and build 19 towers which brought him a profit of 5.4 million euros.
