After the scandal of the fraudulent project with scholarships to the USA, where the Ministry of Education was also involved, with the e-mail provided by Top Channel that the so-called Klea Rama sent to the Deputy Minister, the English teacher at the "Qemal Stafa" high school ", selected by vote as the cabinet director of the "lets talk about US" project, has decided to tell her truth.
As it was wrongly held as the result of the investigation, the weight of responsibility before the arrest of the 20-year-old author who pretended to be the prime minister's niece.
"I was at work every day and I had no criminal proceedings at any time. My data has been revealed, the Ministry of Education must speak. Who protects us? They should have protected me from the start. The Ministry has been in the project step by step. The Ministry has checked us in evaluations. Do you know that in just one zoom session there were 15 people supervising how this process was carried out?
I have an obligation to parents, to students. They should come out and tell us the truth. We have been 68 coordinators and we all expected gratitude, we are so tired. All students took time off from the state exam. Who bears their cost? Who bears the cost of my psychological distress?", said Valentina Lamaj - teacher.
The project, which was ordered to start in September, has been implemented in 68 high schools from the north to the south of Albania, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, where hundreds of graduates have been engaged during a school year. A worthless extracurricular as the project turned out to be a hoax.
"How could I and the students doubt when the teachers received a certificate from the minister with a seal after the assessment? The project was supervised throughout. The head of the ZA of Durrës has cast the lot live on zoom. There are commissions that have been set up. These are reports that came from the Ministry of Education!", said Lamaj.
The false identity created in the name of Klea Rama, as the granddaughter of the prime minister, was a great pressure for the realization of the project, says teacher Lamaj. Meanwhile, he discovers the impossibility of verbal communication with him.
"Our only communication has been via Whatsapp. We never heard a sound. Even when I tried to call him on Whatsapp, since we didn't have a number, he never answered. But I and the 68 coordinators throughout Albania have always worked outside of school hours, unpaid work.
I asked to resign from this job, but it was not accepted. Having that "protected" name position made many people take it for granted and tell us "do you know who it is? Where does this project come from?! So a soap bubble at the end", said the teacher.
"Let's talk about US" started as an informational project for American universities, the English teacher continues, but the stages were added to the completion of the matura exam format on zoom digital platforms for the selection of the best graduates.
"Students have competed with projects, made a contest for the best essays, and then they took the state matura exams on Zoom to choose which of the universities they would study at ," she said.
This scandal seems to have not yet legally affected the Ministry of Education, who continue to remain silent.../ TCH
