After the Oncology mega-scandal, where the doctors and employees of the Tirana hospital abused their duties, creating difficulties for cancer patients, the citizens have announced that they will hold a protest the next day.
The protest will take place on Wednesday afternoon in front of the Ministry of Health at 19:00.
We remind you that several people have been placed under investigation, among them the deputy director of QSUT and several doctors. In the file provided by the media, violations committed by doctors and employees, who directed patients to private clinics and hospitals, are documented.
It also documents how the drugs were taken and who was responsible for the fraud scheme.
The prosecution succeeded in documenting cases of the purchase of drugs of considerable value for chemotherapy from the pharmacy, which these drugs marketed without the fiscal stamp and with a broken code, creating doubt about the authenticity of these drugs.
Specifically involved in the scandal are: Edmond Gashi (Doctor at the Oncology Hospital in QSUNT); Emiljano Lela (Coordinator at the Oncology Hospital at QSUNT); Alketa Ymeri (Pere) (Doctor at the Oncology Hospital at QSUNT); Brikena Qirjazi (Deputy Director at QSUNT charged with tasks for the oncology service); Halil Gashi; Florian Marku and Drilona Kishta.
The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana is investigating the scheme, through which doctors of the Oncology Hospital sold hospital medicines to private entities.
