The maternal grandfather of the 3-year-old, Shefki Cani, has shared the experiences of the eight days that his grandson was missing. He said that they have gone through a period of anxiety and stress.
The grandfather said that during these days they have thought about the worst.
"It's been a week since the boy went missing. His own mother took him at 9 o'clock in the morning and his son never came. The father-in-law told him 'I will not bring the boy again'. We notified the police and I wanted to thank them for their work. A parent who steals his own child has stolen his son's son. This is a gift from God and the government. These days I have been anxious, uncomfortable. I was afraid of my son's disappearance. Until he stole the boy's son, other things could happen. He was forced by someone who stole the boy, because they had no intention. Let the boy come to the house once because he misses me and let's see how the relationship with the Krushka family will be", said Shefki Cani.
The 3-year-old child was reunited with his mother after a week.
He was kept by his grandmother, Barie Gjuni, who was wanted by the Police for hiding the child. For this event, her husband Rexhep Gjuni and her brother were arrested, while on Friday the court ordered the security measure "prison arrest" for both of them.
After the arrest, Rexhep Gjuni told the circumstances, which according to him had forced him to undertake such an act. He emphasized, among other things, that the son's daughter-in-law had threatened to take the son and leave the country.
