Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani considered the figure of 109 collaborations between Eurojust and SPAK to be propaganda, and not real.
Speaking on the news edition of MCN TV, Cakrani says that SPAK has not launched an investigation against organized crime in Albania, that would expand to EU countries, and conclude with arrests.
Cakrani raised doubts that what is considered collaborations are simply letters of recommendation. The lawyer says that SPAK's work has failed, as it does not see the towers being built in Tirana, their financiers, or the so-called strategic investors.
" It is undoubtedly a statistic, because real cooperation is the one in the fight against organized crime. We have not seen any operation launched by the Albanian Police and Prosecutor's Office and expanded to the EU. The Italian Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office has extended the investigations to Albania, has identified their businesses, the places where they live, and have come here together with SPAK to arrest them.
This is not cooperation, it is assistance. Cooperation because a court decision comes from there and is kept in a drawer for 3 months, and then the operation is carried out, I don't see cooperation. Where are the 109 collaborations these years?! Even if we count 9, we can't find them. It's more propaganda than reality. Who is the cooperation? Don't they exchange letters?! Or don't they fight organized crime?! Eurojust should explain to us. Those who publish these statistics should explain to us, where is this cooperation?! If there was so much cooperation, organized crime wouldn't be at such high levels, which has taken the state hostage. I am skeptical and have my doubts.
The work of SPAK has failed. Operation "Bridge", which the Italians came with a court decision, which was simply consolidated by the Court of First Instance, has only started from the Albanian media, a 7-year work of the Bari prosecutor. Find me a single case where the Albanian Prosecutor's Office has started an investigation in its own right, and which has brought it to the end. The mentality of our prosecutor's office is Bolshevik, that criminal charges should be initiated by the people, and people are punished without evidence.
When a tower is built, they should conduct an investigation, who builds it, where they get this income. We have 65 strategic investors, if you find their names and financial source, I will not appear in the media tomorrow. Nobody knows, they have taken public property with fake names. Thousands of construction permits were issued before the elections and SPAK has not registered a criminal proceeding. SPAK is trapped, incompetent and will not investigate. The country has been taken hostage by organized crime , "he said.
