Expert Fatjon Softa, while talking about the arrest of Ilir Meta, also explained how the procedures of such a case work and who he can meet with.
Invited to the show "Real Story" on ABC News, he also commented on the moment of Meta's arrest, after there was a lot of reaction regarding the way he was arrested, some of whom considered it a "kidnapping".
Softa said that in such a situation it is unclear, but knowing the figure of Meta, he added, he may have opposed the police forcing them to intervene to arrest him.
" We don't know what happened in terms of communication. They may have told you that the arrest has come and, unable to answer, there was a reaction from his side and they were forced to react. But the opposite may have happened. That's why I say body cameras are needed. It is very normal for some people to wear hoods in their lives. But I think they couldn't have left them without filming" , said Softa.
Softa also explained how it is determined with whom the former president Ilir Meta will have contact inside the prison.
" The security measure of prison while there is an investigation has a definition of who will have contact with him. They are the close family members, the wife and children, others do not have the opportunity to have contact as long as the case is under investigation. We are talking about people who have such a status, even prisons have rooms that are kept reserved for special people. The security in the prisons is not of such a level that we can say we have a security level... ", said Softa.
