The National Food Authority, in cooperation with the State Police, has undertaken a control action in the Milot market, where serious violations of hygiene and sanitation rules have been identified.
During on-site inspections, authorities seized quantities of meat and dairy products that were being sold in violation of the law. The products were displayed in scandalous conditions, amidst mud and without any food safety criteria, posing a direct risk to consumers' health.
According to institutions, the Milot market, which operates mainly on Sundays, functions as an illegal collection point, as it does not meet any of the legal and hygienic-sanitary standards provided for by the legislation in force.
The AKU and the State Police warn that controls will continue, while calling on traders to respect food safety rules, with the aim of protecting the health of citizens and punishing any violation.
