The Geoscience Institute has published its forecast for weekend weather conditions, announcing rainfall in most regions and snowfall in mountainous areas.
During Saturday and Sunday, precipitation will be present in most of the territory. In the districts of Dibër, Lezhë, Tirana and Durrës, moderate to locally intense precipitation is expected. In Shkodër, Elbasan and Fier, precipitation will be mainly moderate, while in the other districts, light to moderate precipitation is expected. The precipitation will be accompanied by storms, with varying intensity according to the areas.
In mountainous areas above 1100 meters above sea level, precipitation will fall in the form of snow.
Storms and heavy rainfall can cause rockfall and debris flows, as well as flooding in certain urban areas. The risk is highest in the Dibër, Lezha and Durrës regions, depending on the capacity of the sewage systems.

On Sunday, temperatures are expected to range from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius in coastal areas, from 8 to 15 degrees in low-lying areas, and from 2 to 11 degrees in mountainous areas.
Wind
On Saturday afternoon, the wind will blow moderate to strong in mountainous areas. On Sunday, it is expected to be light to moderate.
The Geoscience Institute advises paying attention to weather conditions, especially in areas at risk of problems from intense rainfall.
