The Council of Ministers approved today the decision to ensure the lives of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Albania, who are sent on military missions and training abroad.
The disclosed decision provides details on the life insurance of Armed Forces personnel for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026.
-Life insurance is made according to the contract related to the insurance company, selected according to the rules defined in the legislation in force for public procurement. This insurance covers events in the event of:
a) loss of life due to duty or as a result of accidents during its exercise;
b) extinction;
c) health damage, resulting in permanent, total or partial disability, as a result of an accident during the duration of the military mission and training abroad;
ç) health damage, resulting in temporary, total or partial disability, as a result of an accident during the duration of the military mission and training abroad;
d) medical services in public or private hospitals inside and/or abroad, when health coverage is not provided in public hospitals.
- The amount specified in the insurance contract, for each insured person, is not lower than:
a) 10,000,000 (ten million) ALL, for cases of loss of life due to duty or disappearance of the person;
b) 12,000,000 (twelve million) ALL, for cases of health damage resulting in permanent disability;
c) 5,000,000 (five million) ALL, for cases of loss of life, as a result of accidents during the exercise of duty;
ç) 50,000 (fifty thousand) ALL, for cases of health damage, resulting in temporary disability.
