The Elbasan region continues to be affected by cold weather, with very low temperatures, which in mountainous areas have dropped below -10°C.
Snowfall has been recorded on the Elbasan–Qafë Thanë national axis, while temperatures have reached -15°C. The road has been cleaned and treated with salt, and traffic continues normally.
There is no snow on the Elbasan-Gjinar and Elbasan-Tirana axes (old axis from Krraba), while salting has continued at problematic points.
The flows of the Shkumbin River and the Zaranika Stream have decreased and currently do not pose a risk.
Since yesterday afternoon, discharges from the Banjë HPP have continued at a rate of 290 m³/sec, while together with production, the total discharge reaches 390 m³/sec. The decision on the continuation of discharges is expected at 08:00.
Regarding the electricity supply, problems have been identified in the feeder that supplies the Administrative Units of Tunjë, Kushëvo and Skënderbegas in the Municipality of Gramsh. According to OSHEE, the defects are expected to be resolved in the coming hours.
