Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, through a media conference, reacted to the situation created in several areas of the country, as a result of bad weather.
Berisha considered the government's stance towards citizens to be irresponsible, while emphasizing that hundreds of families have been left to the mercy of fate.
"Hundreds and hundreds of families in the districts of Lezhë, Kurbin, Mat, Dukagjin, Shkodër, are at the mercy of fate.
They have experienced horrors from the uncontrollable flooding of rivers and waters, and the entire narco-government is in a state of anesthesia. No help, no support.
People left at the mercy of nature and God himself.
These storms were announced by the most serious meteorological stations at least a week in advance.
But in absolute terms, the drug and crime power in Tirana and its branches in the districts have not taken any measures.
DP deputies are on the ground and are following the situation with great concern.
They have no other means besides solidarity.
What is called Civil Protection is non-existent.
So, citizens are left to their fate.
I condemn in the strongest possible terms this irresponsible attitude towards citizens, who are experiencing the horrors of flash floods.
"Of course, a government, entangled in super-scandals, has no other preoccupation than how to hide the traces of the crimes it has committed, the thefts it has committed," said Berisha.
