The Shkumbin River is reported to have overflowed its banks, flooding agricultural lands within the embankment.
The reason is the increased flows that have arrived so far and, according to forecasts, are expected to overflow the riverbed to the lands of Çermë Shkumbini.
It is reported that rising water levels have overflowed the river in the Upper Çërma area and further increases are expected.
A notice has been issued for farmers who have stables in the Kumari area of Divjaka to evacuate their livestock.
Meanwhile, the situation is also complicated on the Seman River. The latter has overflowed its banks in the area of Ngurëza e Vogël to Imshtë, where the lands within the embankment are at low levels.
Last evening, it was learned that small livestock and cattle were evacuated from areas at risk, as large floods were expected. Currently, the floods have not yet reached their peak, which is expected to arrive this afternoon, from the Osumi stream and its basin.
Meanwhile, flows from Devolli remain minimal, as they are deposited at the Banja hydroelectric power plant, which releases only the amount necessary for energy production, around 100 m³/s.
