Bad weather with rain and snow has also affected the Lezha Region, causing problems mainly with the electricity supply.
According to official data from Civil Protection, at altitudes above 1,000 meters in the mountains of Mirdita, the first snow has fallen, the thickness of which has reached up to 15 cm, and temperatures have dropped significantly.
Meanwhile, in the plain areas there is moderate rainfall and strong winds, causing damage to power lines mainly in the villages of Zadrima, Shëngjin and Bregu i Matës.
Some of these areas have been without electricity since midnight, while the work groups of the Electricity Distribution Operator are on the ground to repair the defects.
The bad weather has also brought high waves to the coast of Shëngjin and port authorities have requested a ban on navigation for small vessels until weather conditions improve.
