The Ministry of Defense reports that based on the information received from the experts of the Institute of Geosciences, starting from the early hours of Tuesday, high intensity rainfall is expected in Shkodër, Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Fier and Vlorë counties.
Average rainfall is expected in most other regions of the country, accompanied by thunderstorms. In the above-mentioned counties, there may be flash floods of small mountain rivers and landslides.
In urban areas, localized flooding problems may occur in these counties, depending on the condition of the sewers.
The Ministry of Defense and the Civil Defense Agency say that they are fully prepared for any emergency, so they call on all municipalities to take the necessary measures as soon as possible to prevent floods or landslides. We will be on the lookout for all situations that may occur, guaranteeing the safety of our citizens.
