Several neighborhoods and villages remain without electricity, while roads are blocked by water after sewers overflow.
The heavy rain and strong winds that hit Lezha today have caused numerous problems in several areas of the city and its surroundings, leaving thousands of families without electricity and making traffic difficult.
According to information on the ground, power outages have been recorded in the area near the Hunting Hotel, in Ishull-Lezha and in several other neighborhoods, where the supply was interrupted for several hours. This situation has created difficulties for residents and businesses, especially in areas with tourist activity.
The rains have also caused flooding in several parts of the city. The most affected have been the "Besëlidhja" and "Skënderbeg" neighborhoods, where as a result of the intensity of the rain and the overloading of the sewage network, water has come to the surface and accumulated in streets and residential areas.
As a result, the movement of citizens has been restricted, while vehicle traffic has been made difficult on some road segments.
Local sources indicate that the situation has also been affected by underground works for the rehabilitation and expansion of the sewage network, which have temporarily reduced the system's capacity to cope with rainfall.
Residents have expressed concern about the recurrence of these problems, emphasizing the need for more sustainable investments in energy and water drainage infrastructure.
