The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu stated that the data of the TIMS system are very delicate and may have been obtained for several reasons.
Spahiu made the comments on the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin" on Euronews Albania, where he said that TIMS data may have been obtained for political reasons, to blackmail the opponent, for criminal organizations or for foreign secret services.
He also said that foreign secret services may have paid up to 30-40 million euros to obtain this data.
" If we are dealing with a banal state, where everything is sold and bought, or if we are dealing with a spy state, where a lot of classified data is used for various secret services, because at the head of the state we have people who dual or triple role of services. Now to put it more bluntly, we are dealing with a criminal offense that provides for 3-10 years of imprisonment. Peka caught a very sharp case and if it is proven to be true, the entire work of the prosecution falls.
The TIMS system does not mean who enters and exits Albania. TIMS has a more serious database than what the Iranian hackers have made public. All TIMS data is classified secret. Starting from the commissions to the actions of the police, i.e. from the police files, from interceptions, from criminal events. This data can be obtained for 3 reasons. They can be used politically, to blackmail the political opponent. The second for mafia purposes, which can be sold to criminal organizations that know every movement of the police and pay millions of euros for these.
The third could be to give it to various other services, which can pay up to 30-40 million euros to get such information, for example who was the delegation of Blinken during the visit to Albania, etc. So you are risking the lives of secret service people just by publishing this data. We are dealing with a structured and politically protected cell ", said Spahiu.
